Cory felt a blush come across his cheeks, they burned slightly as his dark skin showed a tint of pink. He never really considered himself a complete math nerd, but maybe he was. "Yeah, a lot of people say that," Cory replied letting a small laugh escape, "I'm actually kind of a superfreak genius. But I've got this thing going where everyone thinks I'm a moron, so don't tell my secret," Cory glanced down and winked, but everyone knew he was no moron. Anyone who challenged Cory was sure to go down, his witty and smart sarcastic responses never seemed to go wrong. He sighed, "But, I guess everyone has to be good at something. English is a total drag, I can't remember if things lie and people lay, or if it's things lay and people lie. Take note of this; 'Never ask Cory for English advice'" He grimaced as he stared infront of him, "Well, you can ask me questions about anything that pertains to math, the sad thing is I'll be able to answer it."

Cory didn't mind much that she talked in circles, it made it seem like it was really easy to talk to Stephanie, she didn't mind talking about the same thing more than once in a day. She seemed very simple; not Simple-Minded, but simple as in she was easy to get along with and down-to-earth. She was a change of pace from the usual girls, which made this sort of a challenge for Cory. And believe me, if anyone is competitive, it's be Cory Johnson. He was Mr. Athlete around here, but still seemed to find himself as an elite. Not that Cory ever really noticed that, the cliques were stupid to him. He didn't understand why people wanted to split like this. Cory saw people, not Sharks and Sharkettes; Blokes and Shelias, and whatever else the people around here thought of. I guess that is why you would say he was one of the popular kids around here.

Stephanie's question completely caught him off gaurd, he bit his lip. He could say that he was good at playing girls. He may be able to say that he has a way with women. Or he could tell her that he was called the ice prince because he was good at making girls think he had a heart to give to them, when in reality he didn't. He stared down towards her, "Hmmm..." He acted like he was thinking as he pulled his head back up and glanced ahead of him. He took a deep breath, "I'm a starter on the football team, and I am a top hitter on the baseball team. I'm kind of a jock around here," he shrugged, did she know something about him already? "What about you, Miss Stephanie? What hidden talents do you have?" It sounded kind of dirty, damn it Cory... He glanced back down, "I mean, hah, what are you good at?" He corrected himself, smooth Cory... Real smooth.

Cory had actually, surprisingly enough, enjoyed talking to Stephanie. It was very easy to get a conversation going. She was bubbley and excited, she kind of reminded her of Jenny Ellison. He stopped as he saw Mrs. Olsen's door, he smiled down at her, "I guess this is where we part, Miss," He teased a tiny bit, handing her her books, "I'm glad I decided to talk to you, Stephanie. I'll pick you up at your dorm room at seven on friday, and I'll see you around," He flashed a smile at as he turned and walked away. He couldn't help but think that went pretty well. He turned the corner in the hall, heading straight down until he hit the second to last room in the hallway. He swiftly made his way to his seat, he couldn't help but smile when the bell rang. Maybe she wouldn't be someone he had to play, maybe he should just stay friends. That would go against his rules, though. And rules are rules. I'm sorry, little Steph...
