uh-oh, here comes roxy !
-------
So here she was. The first night of her stay, and she had found her way down to the shore. Although, to be totally honest, it could hardly be considered a wild night out. There were about thirty people clumped on the dance floor, and nobody at the bar. Even the barman was nowhere to be found, and she doubted she'd be getting any illegal alcohol whilst she was there. Instead, she had a glass of cranberry juice in one hand, leaning against the wall of the teen club, idly observing the people there.
She could count all of ten boys, and most who were younger than her, and about ten more prepubescent girls. Only a handful of them looked older than fourteen. She sipped on the blood red liquid, licking her lips thoughtfully and placing the nearly empty glass down on a random table. Considering she didn't know anyone, perhaps some socialising was in order.
She tucked a strand of red hair behind her ear, smoothed down her silky black dress, and stepped onto the mirror ball lit dance floor. There were a few clumps of friends dancing, but that was basically it. She weaved her way through the crowd, and back to the bar, excited to find the barman was finally back from his prolonged break.
"Give me something nice," she said, grinning. The barman raised an eyebrow, doubting her legal age- after all, they weren't meant to sell alcohol, but even if they did, they had to be careful.
Finally, though, he handed her a small glass filled with a mix liquid. She smiled, placed down some cash, and knocked back the drink easily. The alcohol gave her a buzzing feeling in her head and fingers, tingling pleasantly. She ordered another one as she turned around to look at the empty dance floor.
Maybe when she was a little bit drunker.

steele hated clubs. he absolutely hated them, and yet, here he was, standing at the foot of the dance floor, making his way to the bar. he knew there was probably no point in asking for any alcoholic drinks here, but steele had to try, he needed to try. since him and geoff ended things, steele had become somewhat of a drunk, and he usually keeps alcohol in the back of his refrigerator, but when he went to his dorm earlier, he had found that his roommate had finished off his entire nine bottles and was passed out on his bed with an unfamiliar chick under him. steele knew he would have to search for any strains in his bed. shaking furiously, steele's pace began to speed up, he just had to try, there was no turning back, he could already hear the alcohol serenading to him, wanting him to drink it all up, but he knew he had a limit. he needed to drink just enough to be able to walk back to his dorms.
luckily the campus wasn't too far away, all he needed to do was take the bus back home. but would they even let a drunk like him on? steele remembered riding the exact same bus that kicked off a homeless drunk bum. though steele was very innocent back then, he felt sorry for the bum. it was the holidays and he was probably going to get more alcohol, but still, the bus wouldn't let him on. steele didn't want to think about it right now, his mind was blurred with his addiction. he finally made it to what felt like the longest walk of his life. he leaned over on the counter and eyed the bartender, asking him for a gin and tonic. the bartender gave him a long, stern look before shrugging it off by pouring steele's drink. steele kindly thanked him and handed over the money. steele felt rather generous, so he gave the man an extra five dollars. "don't spend it all in one place." he raised his glass and pretended to cheer for him.
as he was taking his first sip he couldn't help but caught from the corner of his eyes a red head close by. he looked over, and noticed a girl, skinner than him drinking what appears to be a whole mix of things. steele didn't need justify that it was some kind of alcoholic drink, he knew it when he saw them almost instantly. feeling a bit light headed himself, he walked over and took a seat next to her. naturally steele was very flirtatious and a bit outgoing, it was rather easy for him to strike up conversations with new people, but something about her red hair reminded him of some girl from school with the same outlandish red hair as she. "maybe you should watch what you drink, especially when drinking alone... there are a lot of creeps out there just looking for victims." steele said and took another sip of his gin.

The door opening made Roxy look up, hoping at least someone her age might enter before she gave up and left. She didn't recognize the guy that walked in, but he looked pretty pissed, so she decided that maybe he wasn't the best person to approach. Instead, she continued taking small, delicate sips of the drink, which was pretty damn strong, considering she already felt tipsy and less than half of the glass was gone.
“Creeps, you say?” She looked up and smiled pleasantly, “I'm sure I can handle myself.” She turned her gaze back to the drink she was sipping. The smell of the alcohol made her wrinkle her nose. She wasn't a strong drinker, which was probably also why she was such a light-weight.
“I'm Roxy,” she added as she raised a hand to flag down the barman. Once again, he was ignoring her and serving another customer further up the bar. Abandoning that method, she rolled her eyes, swished the last small bit of alcohol in her glass and knocked it back. She left the glass on the bar and stood up, keeping one hand on it so she didn't fall right back down again, and turned towards the dance floor.
Well, she was a bit more drunk.
“Do you dance?” She asked the guy.
