GEOFFERY SCOTT BEARING
basic information;
full name: Geoffery Scott Bearing
nicknames: Geoff, Geoffy, Geoffy Bear
age: ninteen
grade: freshman
college: BELMAR COLLEGE
gender: male
sexuality: bisexual
their inner beauty;
personality: TALKATIVE:: There’s always something to be said, and I don’t mean those generic “hey, what’s up?” conversations. Geoff will find something to talk about, whether it be about a dog he saw chasing a squirrel that morning, or how a cloud looks like a shoe print. When there’s people around, Geoff can’t stand the quiet. Plus, talking is the best way to learn about other people, and Geoff has always been one to take learning seriously. After all, he’s not going to fail out and have to fall back on Daddy’s money.
GOOFY:: Geoff is always out to get a good laugh out of someone. Despite living a pretty hard life, he always tries his best to make everyone around him happy. And what better way than pulling pranks, making jokes, and doing little stunts down the hallway. He lives for a good time, and nothing is going to stop him from getting it. Life’s to short to not make it fun. He may not be any Dane Cook, but he’ll always be Goofy Ol’ Geoff. He’s always had that weirdness about him. He’s one of those people who thinks of something in the middle of math class and snickers to himself, getting weird looks from everyone around him. He’ll do things you wouldn’t expect, and he comes off a little “out of it” when you first meet him. He’s random, and he’ll always find a way to entertain you.
NEEDY:: According to his father, Geoff acquired this trait from his mother. When he was little, Geoff was like most kids, and he always had to have mom around, but as he got older this changed little. While he still remained a mama's boy, Geoff found the new feeling of needing people. He has to be surrounded by people to feel accomplished in life, and he always has a fear in the back of his mind as to whether they really like him or not. He needs friends, close friends, but he tries too hard to be independant to really keep any close.

appearance: THE HEADSHOT:: Geoff has his mother’s eye and his father’s hair and mouth. There’s no mistaking him for anyone else’s child. His eyes aren’t too big or too small, and they are a rich, coppery color that almost match his hair. His skin is clear, and he’s always been thankful for that, but he has always felt like his ears were too big for his own good and kept his hair long. His hair is almost identical to his dad’s when he leaves it natural. It’s a dark brown, hanging anywhere from below his ears to his shoulders, depending on when he last had it cut. The curls are natural, but he usually likes to straighten it to keep it tamed.
THE BODY:: Geoff was born nearly two feet long, and barely seven pounds. He's been long and skinny since the beginning, and little has changed that. Through his life, Geoff had always been slighlty taller than the other boys in his class, and he was also much thinner than the others. In highschool, Geoff shot up in height, surpassing even some of his teachers at a remarkable 6'2". After graduation, Geoff hit his last growth spurt in the summer, and he now stands at nearly 6'5". He's still thin, but has gained a little more weight [you can thank the freshman 15] and has a healthier appearance than he used to. He's still a lot skinnier than other boys, and some girls, at college.
THE STYLE:: Geoff's style has changed almost as rapidly as his height. He's gone from skater to jockish to emo to just not caring anymore. Right now, it's all about snazzy comfort. Geoff wears straight leg jeans, not skinny [because skinny jeans are baggy on him anyway] and just plain tee shirts. Sometimes they may say something, but it's usually phrases that make no sense or "to write love on her arms." He's jumped into the fad of v-neck tees and sports jackets. He only wears converse, and

parents:
Aria Hinsley-Bearing - Aria works hard to raise her son the best she can. At the age of 38, she is currently working two jobs, as a waitress and a store clerk. They aren’t the best jobs in the world, but they make life livable for the two. Geoff and his mom are very close. They’re all they really have family wise, and Geoff has always been a mamma’s boy.
Scott Allan Bearing - This man fathered Geoff, but that’s all he is to the boy--a sperm donor. Currently, he is 39, and as far as Geoff knows, the man is still working big time at Asylum Records in Reno, Nevada. Geoff never did get close to his always absent father, and he resents him for hurting his mother like he did. He has no clue what the man looks like now, just how he used to in the old photographs of him and Geoff nearly ten years ago.
children:
Olivia [Olive] Renee Bearing - Born in late March of his senior year to a former fling, Carly Anders, Olivia was what kept Geoff and Natalie halfway together, as well as he and Steele apart. She's almost a year old now and Geoff refuses to let anything happen to where she'd never get to see him. She stays with his mom when she's not with Natalie, but he visits home frequently and has brought her to campus a couple times to spend the night with him.
history:
Aria Hinsley and Scott Bearing met at registration for New York University nearly 19 years ago. The two instantly clicked, and over a short time, they became closer and closer until they finally started dating. December of their freshman year, Aria realized she was pregnant. Of course, the two lovebirds knew they’d survive it. With the help of their parents [on the terms the couple stayed together and Scott finished school] the couple ended up marrying, and Aria dropped out of school so she could take care of herself and the child within her.
Almost eight months later, Aria gave birth to their son, Geoffery Scott Bearing, and her and Scott moved into a small apartment together with the infant. Scott continued his schooling, bound to get a bachelor’s degree in Music Business to help keep his family well off. Aria stayed home, raising her small son, with the help of money sent by both their parents. She couldn’t work. Her parents lived back in Nevada, and she couldn’t afford a babysitter on their limited income. But soon, Scott finally graduated and the small family moved to Reno, Nevada where Scott got his first job at Asylum Records.
The time spent helping bands record their albums, marketing concerts, and managing what was going on that weekend, meant that Scott was at work almost all the time. He came home only to eat, sleep, and bathe, and being away from her husband and isolated from other women due to having to stay home to care for Geoff was starting to get to Aria. Her and Scott would argue over things like what she wanted to do and what he had to do, and eventually, Scott began spending less and less time at home to avoid his wife. He’d put all his energy into his work, which made him rise to the top faster and faster.
There were nights during Geoff’s childhood where he’d pass out from fatigue as he waited for when his dad would come home. Other nigths, he’d curl up in his sobbing mother’s lap while she knew Scott was out with another woman. After all, there was no way Scott could’ve been only in the office for the past three days, was there? It was around this time when he really saw how much daddy hurt mommy, and his hatred grew for the man. He was going into the 6th grade when Aria and Scott filed for divorce, and Aria took Geoff away to start a new life.
Geoff had lived in different places his entire life: Seattle, Reno, Chicago, Cincinnati, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Charlotte, and currently New York City. He spent his senior year at Dayton Academy, and over the summer before his senior year had a fling with a local girl, and before he even graduated, he had a daughter, Olvia Renee Bearing. Because of his relationship with his father, he refuses to not be involved in her life, and him and Carly still talk and keep in contact.
Currently, Geoff is attending Belmar college as a Communications major, and theatre minor. It's close to home which he loves, and closer to all his old friends. He has never really dated anyone, but he's had plenty of flings, and now that he has a kid, he doubts his odds are high unless he finds a girl who REALLY REALLY likes babies. He hopes to graduate and find a decent appartment outside of new york city so he can have a place to keep Olvia when she's with him instead of always dumping her on his mom, who really doesn't mind.
