KENNETH CORY JOHNSON
basic information;
full name: kenneth cory johnson
nicknames: he always goes by cory.
age: seventeen.
grade: junior.
gender: male.
sexuality: straight.
their inner beauty;
personality:
Cory is well known for his sense of humor. Mostly he is sarcastic, especially when the girls from school talk about their riding lessons. He calls their trainer "the devil" because it is his step-mom. A lot of people do not get Cory's rude humor, but those who do love him to death. Cory sometimes comes off as rude, but most of the time he's kidding. Well, if he likes you he is. Cory loves when people ask stupid questions because he can answer with a sarcastic tone, but he thinks it's even better when they say a statement that's obvious. Cory is the guy everyone thinks is mean, but they don't really know his past, and he's really not he just has that sarcastic outer personality.
Deep, deep down, there's something. But it's just more Cory. Believe it or not, this cold sarcastic boy has a heart. Cory is actually very nice to his friends and the people he likes. But those who he doesn't? Forget it. Cory is a pretty good friend; he's loyal and would never date a friend's ex-girlfriend. Cory can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. He'd never let a friend down though, he'd miss his own funeral to help out his friends. But sometimes, Cory cannot be friends with someone because he is so intelligent that he can communicate on levels of communication that is thought to be unbelievable for a High Scholar.
Cory is one of the amazing athletes at school. He balances three different spots, two of which are going on at the same time. Cory is a football player; he's the Quarterback for the football team. Cory is a pretty good Quarterback, and is extremely talented in other sports as well. He also plays basketball, it's not the sport he is the best at but he isn't too bad either. He doesn't brag about it though, he's only sarcastic as said before. He plays baseball too, he is a pitcher, but he only plays to make his dad happy. If it was up to him he would only play football. Cory hates disappointing his dad, he feels like he is stuck in the shadows of his great accomplishments and he can never match up.
Crazy, is one word that people describe Cory as. Cory is the guy that if you dare him to do something, he's going to do it. However, he's very independent. When it's not about his father, he does his own thing, not really caring about the other people. Cory has come to realize he wants people to like him, but he won't stop being friends with someone because someone doesn't like it. But really, who could say they absolutely hate Cory Roma? However, Cory can be very sweet and caring. He seems to be a player, but only to the girls at parties. He isn't picking up girls all the time. Let me mind you that Cory sometimes wonders if he could find a serious girlfriend to like him for him.

their outter shell
appearance:
Cory's eyes are a deep brown, you could almost just get lost in them. Some girls say that you could just fall in love with him just by looking into those beautiful eyes of his. His eyes give him somewhat of a mysterious look, which most girls love, others hate. It sometimes shows that he can be a player when he wants to be, and a jerk when he feels like it. They are definitely one of his ups in his appearance, however. His smile also causes attention. Warning, when he smiles all you girls cannot stare directly at him, there tends to be some melting of the heart, and sighs of how adorable he really is.
It's not all Cory's fault that he can get a six-pack while most guys can't, right? Right, so he should show it off a little. Cory works out a lot, because of the fact that his dad is a pushy know-it-all and wants Cory to join the army following his footsteps and his brothers. Cory is stuck in the shadow of his father, and his older brother, Michael, who died defending the US. Therefore, Cory works out just about everyday for an hour, sometimes two on weekends. It doesn't seem like much but it starts to add up.
Cory is a fairly tall boy; he stands at six feet, towering over his three brothers, but can meet eye to eye with his father. Cory is the only one who got the Roma height genes, and is very thankful for it. It comes in handy for basketball, baseball and football at school. Cory plans on going to college on scholarship, because if he doesn't its first class all the way to Iraq first thing in the morning on the day he turns eighteen.
Cory's skin tans fairly well, but he does get sunburned every now and then. He tends to turn a golden, instead of getting an actual tan though. People think his skin is flawless, and for the most part they're right but any one day he doesn't actually wash his face he'll just break out. But who doesn't?
Cory dresses "preppy", I guess you would say if you were to label him. He is most likely to be seen wearing Abercrombie&Fitch over anything else. Cory is that guy who is always in the a&f clothes and it almost makes the girls jealous as to how many different shirts he has. But don't get me wrong, if there's a funny shirt from American Eagle or Hollister, you know he, of all people, will buy it. Not to mention he'll tell his teachers all about it.

history:
What can we say about Kenneth Cory Johnson? There is so much history in this boy's past and it's a wonder on where to start it all. I guess I will start when his parents met, then work my way up from there. Considering that Cory is not an only child, we'll be getting to him later. Michelle Adkins was always the quiet girl in school; she hardly spoke and never really liked drawing attention to herself. Benjamin Johnson was the big-time baseball player who had big dreams of one day going pro, but his father took his life away by making him sign up for the Army. Michelle and Benjamin didn't know each other then, well Michelle knew him. He was that adorable blue-eyed boy that sat across from her in Math Class. Benjamin didn't know who was, it was sad really. She was just the shy girl, and he was the boy with all eyes on him. So there it was, graduation day and Michelle's friends had talked her into going to a party with them later on. At first she wanted to decline, but she had spent all of high school in the dark and it was about time she let a little light in. So, she went. She didn't know there'd be alcohol. She also didn't know he would be there. Both were claimed to be Designated Drivers as well. Before they went, her friends sat her in a chair and put make-up on her and everything; there was a new Michelle, a more confident one. A gorgeous one. When they got there, she was instantly picked out, all the drunken guys asking her to dance and everything. But, Benjamin went over and started talking. He had drunk a little but in all it was probably a whole bottle of beer. They got to talking, and someone slipped alcohol in Michelle's drink, and it wasn't Benjamin. Pretty soon they were in bed, and the next morning they weren't sure what happened. It turns out, that nothing happened. But, Benjamin did ask her on a real first date, without someone slipping alcohol in her drink. A year later, they got married.
We're not up to Cory yet; just a little more so hang in there! First, Michael was born. Then, a year later, Daniel was born. After another year, Benjamin, jr was born. It wasn't until two years after that Cory was born. He was born on September 22, 1991. So now we have our happy family, with Cory of course. This was back when Benjamin hadn't gone all military on them yet. It wouldn't happen for a while, for now it only mattered that everyone was happy. Cory was said to be a little out of the norm. He learned quickly, it was a little scary at first. He was able to talk early on, and walk, then run. When Cory went to school he was obviously much smarter than the other kids, they would call him weird and everything. In first grade, the teacher thought he was a complete moron, because he did nothing. Turned out when he was tested he was Gifted, not stupid. Cory was bored in the normal classes because they were so easy for him, so his mom and dad put him in a gifted program in a private school. Everything seemed so perfect, and it was. Cory went on to second grade and grew his popularity status with his sarcastic ways. It would make the other kids laugh, so they loved him. Cory actually felt pretty important, because the days he wasn't there they would tell him how boring it was without him. Third grade really had the same story, same ending.
Fourth grade, was a completely different story, with a tragic ending. On September 11 of 2001, Michelle was going to visit her parents up in New York because her dad had grown ill. That day, Cory went to school a couple hours then people began signing out their kids like crazy, and taking them home. Cory had no idea what was going on, but he was a bit afraid. Cory's teacher heard the principal knocking on their door, she got up and opened the door and the principal started talking to her. The teacher glanced at Cory with a bit of sadness in her eyes, and quietly walked over to him. "Cory, sweetie, you're dad's waiting in the office you're going home," he can still hear the kind words of his teacher if you ask him about it. Tiny Cory went up to the office to find his brothers all already there, and his father who didn't look as happy as he usually did. He kneeled down and hugged Cory, the other three boys had teary eyes, and their mom had died in one of the airplanes that hit the tower. They hadn't put out a list yet, but her flight number was on one of those planes. It was a sad day for everyone, and when they heard about going to war, Benjamin knew they would call him.
When it was time for Benjamin to leave, Cory was in fifth grade. It was hard to adapt to life without a mom but now he'd have to adapt to life without his dad as well, but he would be staying at his grandmother's house with his brothers for the time being. Cory and his brothers didn't have too bad of a time adapting over there, they went to school all the same but Cory started his first year of middle school without his dad, or his mom there. Not that he had a hard time fitting in, it just would have been nice to have the support. Cory never told anyone how his mom died, he never planned to either. But when his dad was coming home, he was really excited. He missed his dad, mostly because he was all he really had left, being the youngest of high school brothers wasn't fun because he was always "too little" to hang out with them. When Cory's dad finally came home, he brought a woman home along with him. From what Cory understood this woman was going to be his new "mom". Yeah right. Cory, already deeply affected by this war, was not happy at all. He knew his mom wouldn't want this, right? So why was his dad doing it? Suddenly his dad was all about the Army and blah blah, all this stuff he wasn't before. And his new wife? Don't get me started. She would have the boys do practically all the chores while she sat around doing nothing. Cory was the most radical out of them all; he began to refuse it when his grades began slipping. Angrily she told his father, and he straightened Cory out, or not. Cory had his own thoughts, and what his father had forgotten was that he was the smartest out of the boys. He knew everything that was going on, and he was using it against him. Cory absolutely despised Alice, his step-mom. And that continued on from day one, to now.
When Cory turned fourteen, the family moved to Fort Lewis Army Base to be closer to the Army. It was all his family was now, just the Army. It was all that mattered. Cory was just as angry about his mother's death, but he knew this Alice woman was taking over their lives, his dad never would have moved here if it was his mother that was still alive. And one by one his brothers served in the army, at one point everyone was gone and Cory had to stay with a family friend. When they came back for a six month break, they learned that Ben had died over there. "He was kidnapped," they said, "He was found two weeks later dead, along with some other boys." They said it as if he didn't really matter, that he was just some boy. But he wasn't just some boy, he was Cory's brother?! This made him even angrier when Alice commented on how he didn't try hard in training. Ben used to come home gasping for breath, and that woman could sit there and say that!? Cory was fed up, "Well, that's not his fault, and he was kidnapped. Oh, is that why you're so fat? Because you can't kidnap fat people it's too hard." He was grounded for that one, but he never listened to Alice, he refused to call her mom also. They went back after six months, and a month later Alice came back with an injury that caused her to loose status in the Army because she could never go back to Iraq. 'Oh joy, now I have to spend my days with the devil.' is what went through Cory's head when he found out he had to live with her alone. When Cory turned fifteen, his family was relocated to Belmar, New Jersey. He seemed to fit well here, he tried to focus his thoughts on other things, rather than that lard his father expects him to call "mom".
