Marilyn sat in the hard, hard plastic seat. She felt like a prisoner in this classroom. Sure, they were doing absolutely nothing but so what? It was still school, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get away from those kids who longed to talk to her. She groaned, purposely showing her annoyance to them. She crossed her legs, one over the other. She knew that there was a lot going on outside school, like the fact that her father's restaurant's business was slowly fading. They were having to file for bankruptcy, and that was just not something she wanted anyone to know. I mean, really, Marilyn Dayton's family? POOR?! Hah, I wouldn't dream of it. Marilyn sighed as she glared down at the desk. It was times like this where she missed Bryan, her older brother. She laughed to herself thinking about how he would protect her from all the guys at school. She felt a small smirk spread on her face. When she smiled, it was contagious. Mostly because it was rare that she smiled when her "lackeys" weren't around. She let it find someone else's face, someone who actually wanted it as she quit her smiling expression. She looked around the class, there weren't too many interesting people in here. She was new to this class, she got a schedule change and now here she is.
There was a girl in the corner, she seemed sad. She had black hair with jet blue eyes, she seemed to have some masquera marks on her face as if she had been crying, Marilyn began to think, who was she? She wasn't sure. The girl looked at her and looked away, she wasn't sure who this girl was until it finally dawned on her that it was Johnny's ex-girlfriend. Johnny wasn't exactly the "dating" type. She giggled out loud as she finally realized that the girl had been crying over Johnny! Who on earth would cry over him! Everyone knew that he was just Johnny, nothing else. What could they expect from a guy like him. She glanced around some more, many people were not very interesting looking. Her attention turned to a boy who sat in the front, he was reading attentively a book that she could have sworn was The Tale of Two Cities she made a face in disgust at it, she hated reading with a complete passion. He was obviously not someone worth her presence. She snapped out of her trance of people watching, pulling out her pink nano with matching pink gumy headphones. She hit the play button, waiting for the shuffle from before to start again. She let her lips curve upward as she heard Poppin' Champagne by All Time Low find its way through the speakers of her headphones. She bit on her lip, people were probably suprised at her, the way she was not saying anything to anyone. Not even the slight mean comment you would usually hear her mutter.
She glanced at the other side of the classroom, she saw a girl that she could have sworn her best friend, Jenny may have been friends with. Either that or someone she knew was. She could never keep up with that stuff. She studied her, she had dark brown hair that hung past her shoulders with deep brown eyes that said over a thousand things. She was dressed cute, she seemed trendy. She couldn't remember her name, but she could have sworn she saw her, or have spoken to her before. She sighed, looking back down at her ipod. Maybe someone would eventually try to talk to her. Then, if by some miracle was to happen, maybe that someone would be worth the time to talk to. Hopefully a boy, but Marilyn didn't have the time to be picky. She had a reputation, and if she didn't talk to someone, and fast, it would be completely ruined. But she was saying this, anyone who annoyed her was out of the game and would never be let out of that penalty box. She whipped out her phone, rolling her eyes when she saw that Jenny still hadn't text her back from earlier this morning. She rested her elbow on the desk as she put her head in her hand while flipping through her songs, finally finding one she liked, Heartless by Kanye West.

Things were quiet. Strangely quiet. It was like no one said anything anymore. It bothered tiny Rosalie quite a bit. Everything was just so... mute now. Hardly any good gossip, and the Sharkettes hardly even talked to her. Rose didn't understand. She was gorgeous; everyone told her that. She was cute. She dressed just like Marilyn and Jenny, the "leaders". Rosalie groaned. Marilyn was sitting in the same room as her, and she wasn't even talking to her. It so wasn't Rosalie Parker. Rose looked down at her skinny jeans, flats, and Aeropostale shirt. She usually dressed in more expensive clothes, but today was more casual. Little did she know that she was going to attempt to talk to Marilyn Dayton. Scraping her chair back across the floor, Rosalie got up, walking quietly towards Marilyn.
"Hey," Rosalie said, her best I'm-adorable-and-you-know-it smile on her face. "I'm Rosalie Parker." she said, sitting down in a nearby chair. Her words came out smooth and casual, like she and Marilyn had talked a million times before. They hadn't. She'd said hello, but never had a conversation, although Jenny had talked to her quite a few times. She was nice, for a sharkette. Marilynn, however, was said to be different. Bitchy. Rude. Arrogant. People said that those words summed Marilyn Dayton up quite well. It didn't surprise Rosalie. Afterall, she was a sharkette. They weren't known for being polite and sugary sweet. Rosalie just hoped Marilyn would be a little more accepting. Hopefully, this conversation would end up on a good note.
If it didn't, well then, Rosalie could kiss her status goodbye. She was popular. She just wanted to be even more popular. The sharkettes ruled the school. They always had, always would. But it wasn't as if Rose just wanted their popularity. She genuinley liked Jenny Ellison, and was sure that if Marilyn gave her a chance, they would become good friends. Despite all the hope Rosalie had, she didn't seem desperate. She was much too good an actress to appear desperate. The cute smiles, lies, and backstabbing had to be done with skill, and lots of it. Lucky Rose has had lots of practice.
OOC; Sucks! Here's her outfit, though! www.polyvore.com/rosalie_parker/set?id=5136142

Marilyn let her body calm. She could feel her thoughts drifting as she closed her eyes and relaxed. That lasted all of about ten seconds. She remembered everything happening in her life, the bankruptcy and the whole deal with Jack. How could she possibly let anyone know that she was falling for the only guy that could make any girl in the entire school jump in bed for absolutely no reason at all? Yes, Levi Royce. The sexy british guy. Not to mention her Jack's best friend. It wasn't her fault though, right? She sighed as she opened her eyes. Glancing at her cute pink nano she changed the song, Heartless by Kanye West blasted through the ear phones. But it was okay to like someone else, right? Her boyfriend was still obviously in love with Allison Donaldson. Who, actually, Marilyn despised for that fact. Who could blame her? The girl was absolutely beautiful, not to mention probably the most popular girl in school even not being a Sharkette. She could feel her heartbeat racing, she made her blood boil. Could you say that Marilyn was jealous of Allison? Probably so, yes. Marilyn, of course, just made sure that Allison wasn't a Sharkette, that's all she could do. She smiled at that satisfaction.
Marilyn's smile quickly faded as she remembered her situation with Levi. No, Levi doesn't like Marilyn back but it still posed a problem seeing that Jack and Levi were together almost all the time. It wasn't that Jack was a bad guy, infact he was far from that. She found herself in depression when she thought about this. Maybe she was crying for help because she's stuck in this perfect relationship that was going no where. She was envied by many being Jack's girlfriend and everything. Not to mention that she was probably one of the most popular and respected girls in school. Yes, she was not the nicest girl around but she was no whore and no guy could get her in bed for a one night stand. That was probably why she was respected. She wasn't straight edge though, she did drink quite a bit, but not as much as Jenny did. Or especially Elle or Jari. Sad enough, she knew who those girls were. Although, Elle was part of the sharkettes at one time, but Jenny and Marilyn could see her trouble coming so she was kicked out and Katie came in because Kiran wanted her to be and Jenny didn't see anything wrong with it so Marilyn agreed as well, she turned out to be pretty cool.
Marilyn's thinking was suddenly interupted, she stared up at the girl who was on the other side of the room only a second ago. What the heck? Was she part of the Cullen's family with incredible speed? Oh shoot, can she read minds? She began to speak, Marilyn was confused. She just stared at her for a moment. What made this girl think that Marilyn wanted to talk to her? Hah! Just because you've spoken to Marilyn once doesn't mean she'll talk to the likes of you again. "Uh huh. Well, I would introduce myself but I'm sure that you know who I am already." Marilyn rudely pointed out that she was popular. She basically thought it was a sin if you didn't know who she was. She flashed her bitchy smile, please girl she invented the 'I-Am-Better-Than-You smile, you can't use it on her. "Now, Rosaline if you don't mind, I'm going to listen to the newest song by Fireflight."
ooc; marilyn has to be mean, she has to see if she's sharkette material. lol

Rosalie's eyes narrowed. She didn't give up so easily. She flashed a brilliant, bitchy smile back. Hey, Marilyn's response didn't upset or surprise her; Marilyn was Marilyn, and that was it. But she was Rosalie, not Rosaline, and she wasn't going to leave. Not only because she wanted to talk to her, but because she just liked to annoy people like that. So, Rosalie stayed in the seat, and tapped her on the shoulder once more. Rosalie gently tugged out the earbud from Marilyn's ear. Most people woul've never done that. Marilyn would probably bitch slap them, and then ruin their reputation, if they even had one. Rosalie, however, found that this was an effective way to get someone's attention.
"It's Rosalie, and yes, I know who you are; Who wouldn't?" she said, her bitchy smile still on her face. It looked so innocent, so cute, yet it was considered a warning sign by many people. She waited for Marilyn to strike back, to slap her, to give her the death sentence. But, she was very calm. She was still sitting in her seat, her legs crossed, and her hands resting lightly on her knee. Rosalie didn't look scared or phased in any way, although she wasn't quite sure if she wanted to know how Marilyn would react. She was not gonig to say anything until Marilyn did something. Rosalie was actually kind of afraid. Marilyn wasn't known for being very forgiving.

Marilyn let her mind go back to a peaceful rest. She could hardly believe still that some girl had actually thought she could just walk up to Marilyn Dayton and start a conversation. Man, she felt bad for the girl just because she felt like someone really should've warned her. She must not be well-liked by her piers in this class, or someone surely would have grabbed her shoulder, or tugged her shirt. No, everyone was just in a stare as they watched her pass, walking to her sudden death. Such a girl deserved to die though, such a girl that thought she actually had a chance in striking up a conversation with one of the most popular girls in school, yes such a girl deserved the death of social status. Marilyn wanted to laugh, after thinking all of that, but she held it in. Marilyn's nano switched to a new song. She smirked as it's sound went through the head phones. She sang along in her head, it was a sweet sound, Jojo's voice was beautiful and boy, could that girl sing. Marilyn could feel her eyes closing, maybe she shouldn't have partied with Cory last night.
Marilyn could see with her peripheral version that the girl was still standing in the same spot she was only a few seconds ago. She didn't understand how this girl couldn't get the hint? First off, Marilyn is only friends with girl SHARKETTES. And if they weren't a Sharkette, they were LUCKY. This bitch was probably a Faux just waiting to sabotage Marilyn in every possible way. She rolled her eyes, looking away from the girl. Marilyn was the girl that was only friends with guys in her classes, then was friends with the guy's friends that he had. She just wasn't the girl that went around being friends with all the scared, knobby kneed girls that knew no one in the class. No, they had to have status, class, the right clique. She almost pitied this girl, but she got over that pretty quick. What did you expect? She was the ice princess. She had no heart for others.
She felt the cold air hit her inner ear, her ear phone was gone! She glaced up at the girl, she pulled it out! How DARE her! Doesn't she know who she is dealing with?! Marilyn glanced up with her with her 'you want to play that game?' face. She gave a huff with her breath, rolling her eyes at the same time. She just looked at this girl, "ROSALIE" whatever. Who does this bitch think she is? "Exactly, and obviously no one knows who you are. Therefore, you're not worth knowing. I would keep your distance, and don't touch me or my earphone again." Marilyn left it at that as she put her earphone back in and switched the song to Shattered by O.A.R. she smiled slightly at that, but the girl still stood there, she wasn't going down as easily as another girl would. Well, at least it'll make an interesting story to tell Jenny about later.

Rosalie couldn't help but giggle when Marilyn said that. She actually wasn't afraid. "That's fine," she said. However, Rose did not move. She stayed there. Rosalie simply sat next to Marilyn, looking thorugh her Coach bag, crossing and then uncrossing her legs. She wasn't going to be blown off so damn easily. Hell no. She sifted thorugh her purse, tossing and turning keys, mints, gum, pills, even a bottle of hairspray. Rosalie grabbed her Samsung Instinct and casually went through her messages. She couldn't go a day without checknig her texts. She usually had atleast 20. Today, she had 30. Most of them were random people, while the rest of them were a mix between boys and some girls in her other classes. She ignored these messages; They were either asking her out, or talking about what a bitch she was.
None of the messages really concerned her, right now she was busy. She was annoying Marilyn Dayton to the point of no return. She would eventually break down, and talk to her. It always worked. Puh-lease. Rosalie knew how to work around people, and Marilyn probably did too, so it would be a challenge. But, hey, who didn't like a nice, good challenge? Rosalie certainly didn't mind a little challenge every now and then. She wasn't objecting to it right now, no sir. Maybe Rosalie was just being stubborn, or pig headed, whatever you wanted to call it. She was maybe just being annoying. Either way, Rosalie was thoroughly enjoying it.

Marilyn didn't pay attention to if Rosalie's lips moved, puckered, or twitched. She didn't care. Heck, she wouldn't be suprised if her lips were puckered. She was a sour brat that couldn't get the hint. This was most likely a sad attempt at some attention. Marilyn kept her eyes on her nano. She remembered that this was club schedule, she would be stuck in this room an extra hour. Today was the clubs hardly anyone wanted to be in, so she couldn't leave. She was too happy with that. Of course, Marilyn was the girl everyone wanted to be, and would be crazy not to be. She was popular, vice president of the Key club. She was intelligent, a member of NHS and was planning on graduating in white. She was talented, a top priority to the Track, Cheerleading, and Horse Riding teams. But in yet, she didn't want to be caught dead in one of the clubs that were meeting today. She glanced at her Coach watch, she sighed as she noticed that it had only been 30 minutes in this hell hole of a classroom. Then she cursed herself, remembering that her ancestors built this school, this was one of the rooms that was part of the original building. Damn it.
She decided she would read as she listened to music, it would take her mind off of the fact that Rosalie still hadn't gotten it through her small minded brain that Marilyn wasn't going to be nice to her. She pulled out her newest book, New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. Marilyn had just finished Twilight, and had already fallen completely in love with not just Edward Cullen, but Robert Pattinson as well. She did even constantly remind Jack to become a Vampire and be more like Edward. It would aggrevate him, she could see, but it was quite entertaining to her so why stop? Jack wanted her to stop reading the books, he said she was fantasizing about things that did not exist too much at this point. He conveniently asked Levi so many times if he was right while Marilyn was around, but that just made things harder, but at least he didn't answer completely every sing time. It was basically taking Marilyn's and Jack's side.
It was true that Marilyn Marie Dayton herself was dating let alone the most gorgeous guy in school, Jack Reynolds. But why did she want all that to end for Levi Royce? Marilyn knew that Levi would come to mind sooner or later, and now was the time to try and clear her mind of him. But she couldn't help it. He was gorgeous himself in his own way. He was charming, and mysterious. Levi could keep Marilyn guessing and it would be confusing to her for hours before she could figure out exactly what he was thinking or doing. It was that he was such a challenge to get to settle for one person. And she would sometimes find herself wishing she could be that "one person" that Levi Royce could fall in love with. Marilyn could almost feel her eyes filling with tears. She held her breath for a moment, she couldn't let anyone see her cry, but she knew what she had to do now. But then she remembered Bryan, who always said that Jack wasn't the right guy, and she insisted that he was. She took out her phone, Bryan was practically her other half. What she couldn't tell Jenny she could tell Bryan. She typed on her phone in a text to Bryan, I need to talk to you about something... About jack... She waited quietly, they both had full keyboards so it didn't take long for him to message back, what's up? what's that boy doing to you now? do i need to come down there?! ):< he replied, she smiled. One good thing about big brothers: they always have your back. No, he's being a perfect gentleman. It's... Levi... See, ever since we got to talking as friends I've just been, well you know... He wasn't going to get that last message and sure enough he sent back, No, can you clarify? She sighed as she typed back Yeah... I think I'm falling for him... She sat back, waiting for a reply, but she knew not eve Bryan could fix this mess she had gotten herself into.

Rosalie couldn't help but look over Marilyn's shoulder. Jack... Levi Royce... Falling for him. Rose rolled her eyes, of course Marilyn had fallen for Jack. That was her boyfriend... But then Rosalie realized Marilyn wasn't talking about her beloved, gorgeous boyfriend, Jack. She was talknig about Levi Royce. She couldn't believe it. ure, Levi Royce was gorgeous, but still... Weren't Jack and Marilyn in the perfect relationship? No rough sailing, no worries? Maybe not. She sighed. "You're falling for Levi?" Rosalie asked, very quietly. She felt bed, saying it out loud. So, she settled for saying it in a whisper. Marilyn would probably tell her off, but she didn't care. It wasn't like she was trying to blackmail her, and that was plain on her face. Rosalie was just curious. Very curious, indeed. Sure, Marilyn didn't like her, but that didn't mean she didn't have sympathy for her. It must suck loving someone else, when you already have a boyfriend, she thought, frowning.
Rosalie didn't know anything about love, really. She skipped from guy to guy, never caring about them when she left them behind. Rose liked variety in everything. Boys were no exception. After all, cute boys were in stock this year, and she had to try them all out. How could she not? Rosalie snapped out of her thoughts, turning her attention back to Marilyn. She could already see her face filling with rage, telling her to shut up and mind her own damn business. But, for whatever reason, she couldn't help but try and help Marilyn. It was probably because of the situation.

Marilyn wanted to cry. How could she have possibly let herself fall for the one person that she wanted to hate but couldn't? The one person that every girl in school was sure was the devil himself. The one damn person that her boyfriend was best friends with. It was a completely forbidden affair. But, it wasn't like she was going to be able to do anything about it. Afterall, Marilyn knew that Levi was a womanizer and he would never settle for one girl, especially if he could have them all. It was like a collecting hobby or something. It made her sick, but made her determined as well. Why was it that he fascinated her so much? Maybe it was his deep brown eyes, that made her melt when she looked into them, they've had their moments. Maybe it was his voice, it was smooth and sophisticated, more so than Jack's. Or it could be his confidence, he walked around like he could do anything and that freedom was tempting to Marilyn. But either way you put it, it was still so wrong in the end. This was forbidden like, when you have a crush on your sixth grade math teacher. It just can't be. It never will, so you let it fade. But this, oh this just didn't want to go away.
Marilyn was brought back to reality when a voice striked out Levi's name. She was taken back to find that it was Rosalie. She had been reading what Marilyn was writing in her texts to Bryan. (NOTE TO SELF: Don't text Bryan or Jenny about things that others could Blackmail you about in class or public, for that matter) She just glared at her. She couldn't decide if she was angry, or scared. If word got out that she was falling for Levi, she'd be destroyed and become a social outcast. She studdered, "Y-you... Read my message?" You could see a bit of hurt in Marilyn's eyes at this point, it wasn't obvious to if it was because someone knew about Levi now, or if it was because it was actually happening. Marilyn stared back down at her desk. It hurt to be in love with someone who would never care back. It was true, Marilyn Dayton did have a full-functioning, non-mental heart, and she did want to give it to someone. Just not the someone that everyone thought.
After Marilyn was so mean to Rosalie, she knew that she was going to pay the price. Karma really was a bitch, just like Marilyn. She glanced back up at Rosalie, "So, I guess you're going to tell everyone about this..." Marilyn looked away, she had been defeated. There was nothing left to say.

Rosalie snorted. "No. I should, but I won't," she said, tilting her head to the side. "Your problem must suck enough without me blackmailing you." said Rosalie, nodding to herself. Rose sighed and looked around the room. "So, what are you going to do?" she asked, as if Marilyn hadn't been a huge bitch to her. Rosalie wasn't very forgiving, no. But, she really did pity Marilyn very, very much. And for whatever reason, actually wanted to help. Very strange for Rosalie. People usually didn't use her name and the word help in the same sentence.
She was imagining what it would be like to be in that situation. Rosalie would want someone to help her, wouldn't she? Yes, I would, thought Rosalie, frowning. So maybe, just maybe, Rose could pity Marilyn and help her, even if it was just for a second. She was almost certain that once Rosalie consoled her, or ave her advice, she would be on her way, never to speak about their encounter ever again. That was what Sharkette's did. They used people, got what they wanted, and then left to ruin your reputation, or simply ignore you.
Rosalie couldn't decide which one was worse; Being ignored or having your reputation shot and killed. Slipping her phone back into her purse, Rosalie returned her attention back to Marilyn.

Marilyn ran her fingers across the desk, repeating the shape of a circle. She knew that she was done. Stick a fork in her. Put an apple in her mouth. Stick her on a decorated plate. That was it, and everyone would know. She cleared her throat. Bryan still hadn't text her back. She sighed, she didn't think she had ever acted this way at school before. She missed Bryan, this was something that she would runa to him about. Sometimes she hated admitting it but he was like her best friend and now this random girl knew her secret... At least one of them. Marilyn closed her eyes, trying to collect her thoughts, maybe this would be a good thing. But she couldn't think of one positive thing that may come out of it. All she could wish for was that Levi would actually find her somewhere in his heart and they'd end up together by some miracle. But wasn't that a silly dream? Of course Levi Royce wasn't about to fall in love with his best friend's girlfriend...
Marilyn stared up at Rosalie, she had a blank stare on her face. She glanced back at the desk, then met with her eyes once more, "I... This has been going on for three years and I still haven't figured out what to do," Marilyn replied sadly. Her voice trailed off when she said it. What was this?! She was seriously falling for this guy? Why now? Marilyn could feel her eyes welting up with tears. She was supposed to have this picture perfect relationship with Jack and she doesn't. If only people knew what she went through. "I do love Jack, but ever since I've really gotten to know Levi, it's just going away more and more. Everyone thinks I have this perfect fairy tale life, and I don't. It's so far from happy ending," Marilyn whispered and continued, "I haven't told anyone this, this is the first time it's all come out of my mouth and I'm emotional of it all. My heart beats faster when I'm near him, I feel incomplete when he's not around, it's just getting worse as I continue to ignore it." She bit her lip and glared back down at the desk, what else was there to do? There was nothing. She wasn't even sure if Levi knew. She prayed to God he didn't, it would literally end her life here at Dayton. She continued to just glare at the desk, without a blink. She knew that this was it. Rosalie said she wouldn't tell but she knew that it was all a lie. "So what am I going to have to do to make sure you don't say anything? I can do a lot, and you must know that or you wouldn't have tried to talk to me... I'm not saying you're a bad person and you wouldn't keep your word but you didn't come over here just to chat it up with me for the mere fact that you'd like to just be my friend..." And Marilyn might be a bitch, but maybe being popular was one of those things where you couldn't just let just anyone into your personal space.

Rosalie's eyes narrowed. "I said I'm not going to tell anyone. If you don't believe me, you can go on in live in paranoia," she said staring at Marilyn in disbelief. "But, it'll be for nothing. I'm not gonna tell." Rosalie scrunched her nose. Sure, she wanted to tell. But she wasn't going too. For whatever reason, she couldn't bring herself to do it. Maybe I'm medicated or something, she thought, confused by her desicion not to tell anyone. I have to be, I'm never this nice, Rosalie mused.
"Three years? Uh, thats a long time, don't you think?" asked Rosalie, her eyes wide in shock and disbelief. Three years? If Rosalie wanted two people, she just got them both. They would never know, and if they did find out, Rose couldn't have cared less. In fact, it would make her day if someone said they were going to tell the whole school and ruin her reputation. Rosalie loved jokes! And that reputation joke was just so funny! Rosalie didn't care if people called her a whore. Technically, she was one.
"Really, what you should do is like, have an affair or something,"
Okay. So Rosalie wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box. That was a well known fact by all. But it was her best advice for the situation. Have an affair, as stupid as it may sound, is what she would do. It's what she had done in previous years. But only because she wanted to cheat, not because she had to, like Marilyn. Having to cheat isn't something people say. You don't have to cheat. You want to cheat, and tell yourself that it was for the best and that you had to do it. But to Rosalie, it was either because you wanted to cheat or you had to.

Marilyn shrugged her shoulders softly, she knew that Rosalie wasn't going to tell at this point, but someone like this wasn't going to keep quiet if you snap on them. At that moment, Marilyn decided it would be best if she made an effort to be nice to Rosalie, even if the girl was a total bitch. Which, actually, Marilyn had no idea if she was or not. What Marilyn had just gotten herself into, she was not so sure of, but what she did know was a complete stranger, well technically, knows one of her deepest, darkest secrets. It's only one slip, and the whole school knows, and Jack knows, and Jenny, and Levi. She could only imagine the smirk Levi would have glued on his face, she would probably want to bitch slap it off, but she would try to refrain herself. Marilyn smiled, if you call a forced smile a smile that is, she wanted to believe Rosalie, but the people that Marilyn ran around with, were not trustworthy so she had learned not to trust people. Especially those who are mostly in something for themselves. "Thanks, I appreciate it... Really, I do..." Marilyn didn't even know how to say thank you enough, she would probably say it over and over for the next few upcoming days.
Marilyn shrugged again, she didn't know what she could say, yes it was a long time. But what could she do? You can't make your heart love someone else, it picks on its own. It doesn't matter who or what they are. In Marilyn's case, her heart did not care one bit that Levi was a womanizing jerk that couldn't stay with one girl to save his life, and he just happened to be Jack's partner in crime. Damn it, why does Jack have to have such cute friends?! "Yeah it is a lot... You know what's worse though? This girl Astrid at Dayton, she has this huge crush on him and it's so damn obvious. It makes me sick, sometimes I could swear he likes her too, and sometimes I wish it was me. But, in reality, it never can be because of Jack. Because of the path I chose to lead," She sighed loudly, she was starting to feel tired now, or maybe sleeping was just the only escape to this reality nightmare. But even in her dreams Levi will be there. He's everywhere to her. She sees him in a passing stranger, in the kid that sits next to her in English, and even sometimes in nothing, when she's just imagining him there.
Marilyn glanced at her quickly, did those words really just come out of her mouth?! She didn't know Rosalie that well, and hardly had heard of her until the beginning of this year, but cheat on Jack?! It was impossible, especially if she wanted to cheat on him with his best friend! No, that just wasn't even an option for Miss Marilyn. She didn't know what to say. "Uh, cheat? No, I can't do that. People think I'm a bitch, but I don't think I could cheat on Jack, he's a good guy. It would kill him... And to cheat on him with his best friend, who would actually probably go for it, that, I- I just can't." Marilyn put her head on the desk, resting it on her arms as if they were a pillow. She remembered this one time where Jack was out of town and Marilyn was at a party, Levi saved her from a lot that night, and he stayed at her dorm room to make sure she was okay until morning then he made sure she didn't have too horrible of a hangover. She was pretty sure that he missed school, too. She didn't think Jack would ever do that in a million years. Jack still doesn't know about that, but Marilyn remembered curling up next to Levi and falling asleep, it's something you can't forget. Mostly, because she isn't as comfortable with Jack to just fall asleep next to him, or maybe it was because he wasn't Levi Royce...
