KWAMÉ JEROME EVANS JR.
basic information;
full name: Kwamé Jerome Evans Jr.
nicknames: Jerome, Jery, Rome, Romeo
age: 18
grade: senior
gender: male
sexuality: straight
their inner beauty;
personality:
ASSERTIVE;; Jerome pushes to get what he needs, and he doesn’t care too much who gets in his way. He’s not afraid to ask for favors, and doesn’t really care if someone finds him rude. He can be very persuasive and eloquent when he needs to be, but most who just meet him would never believe it. Jerome loves doing group projects, and he’s always pushed to be a leader in his group of friends. He loves being around people because it means he can always tell someone what to do. He has an undying need to be in charge, but he can’t stand listening to others boss him around.
BOISTEROUS;; He’s always out to seek trouble, cause a heated argument, or pull a prank. Jerome just thrives on the adrenaline rush he gets from this and can’t find many other things to suffice that need. He may not enjoy getting into fights, but he loves starting them. His brother has compared him to a girl sometimes because of the way he carelessly spreads rumors around that he hears. Jerome doesn’t care though what others think of him. He’s not likely to change for one person, for that would go against the “be yourself” attitude he’s been pushing since junior high.
ORIGINAL;; The cornucopia of baseball hats, oversized tees, and brightly colored hoodies have stood out for the past few years, and little has changed. Jerome’s attitude has always been expressed through his behavior and attire. He can’t stand being compared to others and he fights to break free from the mold of society. He doesn’t want to be like anyone else, and he does his best to keep his style his own. Even little T doesn’t resemble his brother’s unique sense. Jerome sticks out a lot compared to the other boys in school, and he loves. I mean, at least everyone knows who they’re talking about when they say the name “Jerome Evans.”

appearance:
LOOKS;; Jerome is tall, reaching 6’5” like his father, and he’s built too. The boy works out, and while he may not have the “star athlete” abs, he’s toned and it shows if you ever get to see him. Jerome always has some sort of facial hair, even though some girls he knows don’t like it. It’s his thing, and he loves trimming it into different styles. It rare that he lets his beard grow out. Jerome’s hair is also unmistakable. He wears it differently all the time from braids, to a puffy pony tail, to his natural fro. It’s kinky curly, and he loves playing with it, which is why he’d never get dreads. There’s not much you can do with them.
STYLE;; Forget all those baggy clothes that were cool back in middle school, Jerome likes to feel like he can go a day without a belt. He wears a lot of skating jeans and shoes, as well as Converse. His shirts may seem a little big at times, but he doesn’t want to feel constrained either. He’s one for color, hardly ever seen in a lot of black or white. Plain jeans bore him, and he always draws on them with sharpies during his free time [I.e. class]. Jerome always has a baseball cap on hand that may say “Vans,” “Etnies,” “NY,” or even the symbol for The Flash. He might not wear it during school, but he carries it with him, usually hooked to his belt loop.
OTHER;; Jerome is covered, arm and chest and even neck, with tattoos. His ears are gauged out, and he has his nose and upper lip pierced. He wears a lot of jewelry at one time, but he loves that. It’s his style. One thing he really hates about himself, though he tries to embrace it is his hair. It becomes so unmanageable at times, so he just pulls it back into a pony tail or has his aunt braid it if they have time. There’s so much, yet so little, he can do with it, but he doesn’t ever want to cut it off or be one of those people who don’t care.

parents:
Kwamé Jerome Evans Sr. is 47 and is a Herpetologist who travels a lot over the spring and summer around the US.
Clarissa Diane Simpson, 43, Hair dresser in Newark, NJ. She helped raise Jerome and T after their mom left, and is the closest aunt they’ve had. She’s basically their far away mom.
siblings:
Titus Jerome Evans, 15, sophomore at Dayton Academy.
history: He was only three, living in New York City while his mom and dad both worked at the Staten Island Zoo. Jerome’s mother was the Marketing President, and his father cared for and found new snakes for the place. They weren’t the best jobs in the world, but the two loved it. They had their first son, Jerome, and a couple years later Titus was born. On the outside, they seemed like a fine family, but Jerome’s mother was getting involved in drugs, slowly becoming absent from her home life. It wasn’t much longer before She finally left without a word. They woke up one morning, and all her things were gone.
Shortly after that, Jerome’s dad decided he couldn’t possibly raise the two boys by himself and he moved them out of the city to Newark, NJ with his sister. She helped raise the eight and five year old, and Titus called her Mama Clar while Jerome started going out and making new friends. He learned how to skate at this point and began listening to rap. He looked out for his younger brother, and life in the suburbs was nice for the time.
Middle school was the time Jerome began becoming his own person. He started skating more, listened to more music, and was letting his hair grow into a wild ‘fro. He had tons of friends, some not the best influences, and he was already beginning to learn how to free style. Life couldn’t be better. When Jerome was in eighth grade, Clarissa brought home a brochure for Dayton Academy from her hair salon. Jerome didn’t want to go there, but his father loved the idea. What better way to get Jerome, and eventually Titus, the education he needed than to send him to a preparatory academy?
Jerome got to the high school, obviously being a part of a minority, through his aunt and father both paying for it. His grades were ok, but never good enough to get a scholarship. He really doesn’t like being at Dayton, but he’s learned to just deal with it and roll with life over the past three years. He’s running his last lap now at the school, and he can’t wait to just graduate and be done with it. College? Probably not going to happen, and no one but his father really expects him to get a higher education. He’s just not that type of guy.
